In his first 10 years in Alaska, Eric Muehling worked as a photojournalist for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner newspaper. After that, as writer, editor and publisher of Alaska Living Magazine.
In mid-career he morphed into a computer programmer, database developer, multimedia specialist and app designer. He worked for the University of Alaska Fairbanks (teaching, creating and publishing).
Eric has a BA in Photojournalism (Kent State University) and MA in Visual Communication (Ohio University).
For the University of Alaska Fairbanks he designed science-based lessons, educational websites, interactive multimedia, and apps that explained global warming, earthquakes, tsunami, volcanoes, and plate tectonics.
Eric will take on creative projects that serve the wider community, particularly social and environmental projects.
